Facts about SjöVägen

Crossing the sea is usually faster than going around it...
With a number of boat traffic lines in Saltsjön and Mälaren, SjöVägen shall be a year-around, fully available public boat traffic line for passengers and bikes. For the inhabitants of Stockholm, Nacka and Lidingö, SjöVägen is an excellent possibility to quickly and smoothly getting to and from work.

SjöVägen is an integrated part of the Stockholm County Council’s public transport system. This means an integration in the fare system and coordination with the current public transport in the region, run by Stockholm Public Transport.

The route of SjöVägen
Nybroplan-Allmänna Gränd (limited traffic)-Saltsjöqvarn-Finnboda hamn-Blockhusudden (Saturday/Sunday only)- Nacka Strand-Dalénum (Lidingö) – Frihamnen (weekdays only)

The duration of the trip (one-way) is apporoximately 40-45 minutes

Fees: SLs period card for 1day/3days/7days/30days/90days/1year is valid onboard and SLs Reskassan. Stockholmskortet is also accepted.

There are several restuarants and cafés along the route (in Nacka Strand and Saltsjöqvarn, respectively).

Two boats are operating the route:
• Weekdays: M/S Ballerina will operate during the weekdays throughout the summer period, as well as taking the evening tour (May 23 – August 19). The other boat, Gurli, will work as an support boat during high traffic hours.
• Saturday/Sunday: M/S Ballerina
